2018 Draft Amendments to Air Quality Ordinance

Notice of Public Hearing

Linn County Public Health, Air Quality Division, is proposing an update to the Linn County Air Quality Ordinance (Chapter 10 - Environment, Article III), to become effective upon publication.  The updated Ordinance will be submitted to the Linn County Board of Supervisors for consideration on May 21, 23, and May 30, 2018.  A copy of the proposed Ordinance is available for public inspection at:

during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, holidays excluded.  It is also provided below. 
Written comments and suggestions on the proposed rules may be provided to the Air Quality Division or by email to ComplianceReporting-Air@linncounty.org, by mail or hand-delivery to the Air Quality Division at the Linn County Community Services address shown above.  A public hearing on the proposed Ordinance shall be held in conjunction with the first consideration by the Board of Supervisors on May 21, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the Jean Oxley Linn County Public Service Center, 935 Second Street SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Written comments received prior to May 23, 2018 or at the time of the public hearing, along with a transcript of any oral comments made at the public hearing along with the Air Quality Division's responses will be compiled into a responsiveness summary document maintained by Linn County Public Health, Air Quality Division for inspection, upon request, by any interested person.
