Mission Statement:  Improve the health and well being of asthmatics through education & environmental intervention.

What does CHAMP stand for?  CHILDREN'S HOME ASTHMA MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

What is CHAMP?  CHAMP is a federally funded grant from EPA Region 7.  The CHAMP grant is a resource for Linn County residents and surrounding areas to receive asthma education and environmental intervention.  

Who is Eligible for CHAMP?  Any family that has a child with asthma or on asthma medication.

How do I Sign Up?  Call Linn County Public Health and ask to speak to Dr. Stephanie Nomura or call directly at (319) 892-6022.

What does the CHAMP program entail?  Three visits are conducted with the participating family.  The first visit is an indoor air quality assessment identifying asthma triggers and making recommendations.  The second and third visits are conducted by asthma educators including a respiratory therapist.
